Biden puts himself in Israel’s six-day war with the latest false claim

Did President Joe Biden ever tell you about his visit to Abraham Lincoln at the White House?

Do not lie. He went to the White House and said, “Listen, Abe, what can I do for you?” And Abe told him that he should visit Confederate President Jefferson Davis and ask him to get rid of slavery. Well, strangely enough, he did and – did you know that? – The Civil War is over. I didn’t say he stopped it, I just speech.

No, the president’s lies weren’t all that bad. But. However, his latest story about former Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir is another sign he is eyeing in that direction.

(We’re tired of Joe Biden’s lies here at The Western Journal — and we’ll keep each of them up to date, no matter how much the establishment media wants to ignore them. You can help us in combat by register.)

On Wednesday, the president gave comment during a menorah Hanukkah illumination at the White House. In his speech, he introduced himself into Israel’s Six-Day War.

“I told a few younger members of my staff, before I arrived, that I’d been to Israel many times,” Biden said. “I said – then all of a sudden, I realized, ‘God, you’re old, Biden.’

“I have known every prime minister since Golda Meir, including Golda Meir. And during the Six-Day War, I had a chance – she invited me in because I would be her liaison with the Egyptians about Suez and so on and so forth.

“I sat in front of her desk,” he continued to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. “And she has a guy – her employee – on my right. His name is Rabin. And she kept flipping those maps up and down. She has a bunch of maps – kept it sort of – and it – what she’s doing is very sad – of what happened. She gave me every detail.

“And we – the photographer, she’s doing the photography and the press. And, Chuck, without turning her head, she looked straight ahead but when she spoke to me, she said, ‘Why’ – she said – ‘Why do you look so sad?’ And I said – and I almost turned around. And I said, “Well, Mrs. Prime Minister,” I said, “you paint such a bleak picture.”

She said, ‘Oh, no, no, no.’ She said, ‘Don’t worry. We have a secret weapon in our battle in this area. ‘ And I almost went back. I said, ‘What is that?’ “We have nowhere else to go,” she said.

These are both a) inspirational and b) impractical.

Based on The Times of IsraelBiden met Meir, but that was in the run-up to the Yom Kippur War of 1973, not the Six-Day War of 1967. He told the same story at an Israeli Embassy event in 2015, according to Times.

So, well, he mixed up his fights. What’s wrong with that? Several things, depending on why he’s telling the story.

The first possibility is that it simply isn’t important enough for him to get it right. That would obviously be problematic. While the Six-Day War reaffirmed Israel’s military dominance in the Middle East, the Yom Kippur War was far more far-reaching and threatened to drag the United States and the Soviet Union into a global conflict.

Making this mistake about Israel’s history is like mixing up the first and second world wars. (“Which has the mustached, screaming German and the atomic bomb again?”)

I hate playing reversed roles, but sometimes it’s profitable: Donald Trump or George W. Bush made this mistake. The hounds will rush in, and not without reason.

The second possibility is that, once again, Biden is showing signs diminishing perceived returns. Here he is telling the same story with much greater precision (and brevity) back in 2010:

Eleven years later, he seems lost in his own memory bank.

Then there’s a potential third reason Biden is wrong: He likes to tell businessman to be yourself with a certain number of voting blocks. Taking on a major role in the Six-Day War – making him an ally of Israel from before his time in the Senate – would look absolutely stunning for him during Hanukkah’s speech.

Did Biden stretch the truth for political gain?

In his book”Fear and disgust: On the Campaign Trail ’72,” the late journalist Hunter S. Thompson mocked former Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey — a 1972 presidential candidate who had a history of exercising these kinds of liberties — with the photo caption “Myself.” I was also a Jew.” The difference is, with Biden, there’s always the potential that he really uttered such a lie.

The most egregious example of this was when Biden was campaigning in South Carolina in February 2020.

At the time, Biden had just crashed in the Iowa caucus. He’s about to crash at the New Hampshire elementary school when the revenue arrives later that day, and he’ll also be wiped out at the Nevada caucuses. Anything other than a decisive victory in South Carolina, where black voters make up the backbone of Democratic Party, could have effectively ended his campaign.

So he decided draw yourself as a victim of apartheid in South Africa.

“On this day, 30 years ago, Nelson Mandela stepped out of prison and engaged in discussions about racism,” he told a crowd at a campaign stop. “I am honored to have met him. I was honored to be caught with our UN ambassador in the streets of Soweto trying to meet him on Robben Island. ”

Based on New York Times, Biden has told this story before. As you can imagine, it’s not true for a moment anymore.

Not only would it make the news if a US senator had been arrested by the South African regime trying to visit Mandela, but Soweto (a town in Johannesburg) hundreds of miles from Robben Island (not Robbens) miles, where is the prison. Mandela was held off the coast of Cape Town.

Biden later revised the story: “When I say ‘caught,’ I mean I can’t, I can’t move. … I was not arrested, I was stopped. I wasn’t able to move where I wanted to go,” he said CNN.

There are other examples.

He told an audience in Idaho that his first job offer was in the state. The company he claims filed the application said it “has no record of President Biden’s application or of his ever working for the company,” adding that “we have internally checked its system.” system and nothing appeared”.

He speak he visited the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, the site of a mass shooting in 2018, for remarks just before this year’s high Jewish holy day. The synagogue confirmed (of course) that he had never been there.

So is it A, B or C? Are they even mutually exclusive? The only one who knows is Joe Biden – and even that is controversial.

What we can say for sure is this: Whatever excuses he may come up with to debunk this story, it should not be taken as trivial. For fear that he’s starting to stick around about his time with Teddy Roosevelt and the Rough Riders, it’s time to start asking some questions when he’s misinterpreted these details.
