Biden insults Jews in Menorah illumination, tells big lie about Israel

President Joe Biden held a menorah lighting ceremony at the White House on Wednesday night to commemorate Hanukkah. But instead of honoring Jewish Americans, Biden used the moment to repeat a lie about his past.
Follow National rating, Biden told a story about his supposed trip to Israel during the Six-Day War.
“I told a few younger members of my staff, before I arrived, about how I’d been to Israel so many times,” Biden said. “I said—and suddenly, I realized, ‘God, you’re old, Biden.
“I have known every-ever prime minister since Golda Meir, including Golda Meir. During the Six-Day War, I had a chance – she invited me in because I would be her liaison with the Egyptians about Suez and so on and so forth. ”
However, The Times of Israel reported that the meeting was much different from Biden to wear. The magazine exposed many aspects of the story in an October 2020 article after Biden told it several times.
However, Biden’s claim about the meeting that took place during the Six-Day War is completely untrue. The Times reported that Biden met Meir in 1973, six years after the end of the Six-Day War.
Some political authorities have pointed out this disparity on Twitter.

The Six-Day War took place in June 1967.

The meeting took place 40 days before another conflict known as the Yom Kippur War. But don’t think that he confused the name of war, the Times added about the dishonesty from Biden.
In 2015, Biden recalled his conversation with Meir during a speech at the Israeli Embassy’s Independence Day celebration. He chuckled as he recounted the conversation and took a photo with the prime minister.
In this case, Biden correctly confirmed the name of the fight, but he was dishonest about the content of the conversation. In fact, a top secret memo revealed that he was critical of Israel during the meeting, the Times reported.
Biden said actions like taking the West Bank and Gaza during the Six-Day War was promoting “increasing annexation.”
Is Biden disrespecting Jewish Americans?
“Since he believes that Israel is militarily dominant in the region, he suggested that the Jewish state could take the first step toward peace through the unilateral withdrawal of troops from areas that have no reach. strategic importance,” the Times said.
“… Meir rejected Biden’s call for unilateral steps, starting with a speech on the region and its issues (possibly an opinion Biden alluded to in his own comments). years later).”
This version of the story paints a much different picture than Biden tells. Instead of a decent conversation, Meir is likely to dismiss Biden’s criticisms of Israeli.
The Times also reported that Biden lamented that “there can’t be a real debate in the Senate on the Middle East because senators are afraid to say things that don’t please the Jewish electorate.”
By assuming Israel as the sole aggressor in the Six-Day War and reducing its struggles to a political tool, Biden bordered on anti-Semitism.
To be fair, this was almost 40 years ago, and Biden hasn’t said anything blatantly anti-Semitic with this account. The problem was that he was now trying to use this meeting as some kind of badge of honor to win support in the Jewish community.
Wednesday is supposed to be a special celebration for Jewish Americans. While the menorah lighting is a White House tradition, CNN reported second gentleman Doug Emhoff, husband of Kamala Harris, as the first Jewish spouse of a president or vice president to participate in the event.
Instead, Biden stole the spotlight by telling a story with both blatant falsehoods and dishonest features. That’s not the way to celebrate Hanukkah.
