Bhad Bhabie Goes Off In IG Live Rant: ‘If I Wanna Be Black, Then Why Am I Racist?’ (Video)

What appeared to be a potential learning experience for 18-year-old Bhad Bhabie, a conversation with Lil Yachty on Instagram Live quickly turned into a screaming match after Bhad Bhabie became frustrated with her critics.

Lil Yachty, who has worked with Bhad Bhabie before, discussed with Bhad Bhabie one-on-one how she reacts to criticism, especially from the Black public and community.

Bhad Bhabie expressed his frustration with being constantly accused of cultural appropriation.

Yachty, coming from a mentoring position, tried to talk to Bhad Bhabie about how she reacted and why he felt her message wasn’t connecting with his audience.

“Do you think if I shouted at the screen people would like it,” Yachty said before being interrupted by Bhad Bhabie.

Basically, Yachty explains that it’s not about protecting herself that matters but how she does it sometimes just adds fuel to the fire.

“I need you to understand that there is a better way to make your point,” Yachty said, his voice drowned out by Bhad Bhabie’s screams.

His words turned her into a sassy one, in which she said she was tired of being accused of appropriating Black culture.

“Listen, one thing that I’m really sick of is the whole ‘Bhad Bhabie is a cultural usurper,’ she said.

Bhad Bhabie then goes on to tear down her own definition of cultural appropriation, in order to continue taking the point home that she’s not appropriating Black culture.

“Cultural appropriation is if I sit up and say… a certain race looks ugly to that and then I do it myself,” she said. “Or if I say that black girls look ugly with braids and then I go get them, that is cultural appropriation. Or when girls put chopsticks in their hair, it’s cultural appropriation. It’s doing something negative with someone’s culture.”

Yachty tries to get Bhad Bhabie back on topic, but she has a few more things to say.

“’Oh she wants to be Black,’ but if I want to be Black, then why am I racist? Let’s make it meaningful! Bhad Bhabie said. “That’s really what pisses me off because it’s like, where do you even get it from? Like what, because I have a hood voice? “
