Beyond a Steel Sky has been delayed on consoles, but not everywhere

Microids and Revolution Software have announced that the console release of Beyond a Steel Sky has been delay, but only in certain regions.

In a statement released on Twitter, publisher Microids explained that the delay was due to “worldwide logistical issues and constraints beyond our control”, which is hardly a common reason for delay due to COVID-19 nearly two years ago.

Oddly enough, this delay is very region-specific, with different territories getting their console versions of Beyond a Steel Sky at very different times. Here’s a rundown of when and where Beyond a Steel Sky was released:

  • UK
    • Nintendo Switch – Digital – November 30
    • PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, Nintendo Switch – Digital and Physical – December 7
  • North America
    • Nintendo Switch – Digital – December 7
    • PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, Nintendo Switch – Digital and Physical – December 14
  • Australia and New Zealand
    • PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, Nintendo Switch – Digital – November 30
    • PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, Nintendo Switch – Physical – December 17
  • Europe
    • PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, Nintendo Switch – Digital and Physical – November 30

As for both the delay and confusion about the dates in various regions, Microids and Revolution Software rightly said that “we apologize for any inconvenience to players looking to join the game.” game.”
