Tobey Maguire Being a Spider-Man can’t always do anything Spider-Man can do.

Long before he was the first actor to portray the iconic Marvel character outside of a low-budget TV series other than the original, he was an actor with an eclectic résumé. He starred in light-hearted, surreal dramas and crazy cartoons and some content have even been blocked from being released in the United States to this day.

As a result, it can be difficult to know what other movies are on Maguire’s list to watch other than his wallowing stunts. Anyone struggling need not worry, because as always, we’ve got you covered.

Here is a list of Tobey Maguire’s best movies. We don’t count his trilogy as Peter Parker or any other movie Spiderman like everyone knows how good they are. (Yes, the third season actually has some good points even though it’s goofy.) We’ve used Rotten Tomatoes as a rough guide and also incorporated our own opinions.

People may not remember this movie, but our theme is completely within it. This is supposed to be his first on-screen appearance and while some of Maguire’s biographies don’t bother to mention it, we couldn’t make the same mistake! When you have time, check out this 29% positive masterpiece of early video game culture schlock and know you’re watching a legend come to life.

9. Ice storm (1997)

Directed by Ang Lee before he won acclaim for making the kind of movies that Eric Cartman was. speak Interested in all award shows, this film has 85% positive reviews. The film tells the story of two dysfunctional families in a time of social change and is one of Maguire’s first major roles after a few years of playing small roles. He plays a young son with crazy relatives and really makes you believe his character is yearning for change.

8. Fear and disgust in Las Vegas (1998)

While it’s odd to see a man known for his fictional heroics play someone who isn’t allowed near children at the bus stop, Maguire sells the idea in this 50% positive film. . Although not a hit with critics, about 89% of the audience enjoyed it and it is the home of the legendary Hunter S. Thompson for future generations.

7. Pleasantville (1998)

Although this movie has an obvious allegory, it has garnered 85% positive reviews from critics and is worth watching for a number of reasons. Maguire takes it very seriously as a fan of an old TV show who is sucked into the world his favorite characters live in. The music and effects are still on hold to this day and it was one of JT Walsh’s last performances that was always excellent. (If you haven’t seen any of his work, watch this movie and you’ll see why he’s so missed.)

6. Riding with the Devil (1999)

Let’s face it: just as no one thought Michael Bay was capable of making a minimalist LGBTQ+ drama set in a coffee shop, no one thought that Maguire could be a supportive character. Union during the Civil War. And Maguire is still enjoying it here. Riding with the Devil was a bomb when it came out, but it had 64 percent rave reviews and had a fun and stacked cast that was beyond the subject of our article, including Jim Caviezel Before He Goes Crazy, Jeffrey Wright and even Mark Ruffalo.

5. Don’s Plum (2001)

Although the film was not well received by critics, it was praised by 62% of those who watched and is well worth watching, simply because of the way difficult it is to find. Maguire, close friend and co-star Leonardo DiCaprio successfully blocked the film’s North American release, but there was no real reason for them to do so. The movie revolves around friends discussing life at a diner and there’s nothing controversial or crazy about it with their subsequent endeavors.

Maguire made this 77% positive movie among his best movies Spiderman trilogy and it’s one of the better historical films out there. Here, he plays John Pollard and elevates everyone who watches him on screen. Although he’s usually someone with goofy charms, he would benefit from playing serious characters like this more often ⏤ and so do we.

3. Brothers (2009)

Movies about soldiers and their failures in Iraq or Afghanistan frequently make it seem like something of a charm. War is brutal and leaves significant scars, and Maguire demonstrates it in this 64 percent positive production. As for creating something that goes against the status quo, which the majority of the public get from every other form of media they use, this is one of Maguire’s finest works.

2. Pawn sacrifice (2014)

Maguire plays chess champion Bobby Fischer in this 71% positive biopic. The work is fine, but it deserves a high spot on our list due to Maguire’s ability to tease audiences with the present. threat below the surface, which will hit the real Fischer later in life.
