Bengals win over Steelers is history | MLB Freelance Market is Hot Even though Locking Up Soon

Happy Monday, newsletter readers! Shanna McCarriston will be back to give you the weekend sports news. I hope you all had a great stay with lots of good company and good food.

I’m grateful for the great football we had over the weekend, especially Patriots defeat Titan in what could be a playoff preview. But we won’t just focus on NFL today – we also have a lot MLB News to access, as well as a look back cazy College football weekend.

Let’s go there.

Good morning to everyone but especially…

NS Bengali host their rival AFC North Steelsmith on Sunday, finally became a historic victory for the home team. NS The 41-10 margin of victory matches Cincinnati’s biggest win rate against Pittsburgh ever.

  • It is also First three-game winning streak for the Bengals against the Steelers since 1990
  • Victory marks the Bengals’ Steelers’ first sweeping season since 2009

With the win, the Bengals improved to 7-4 and the Steelers dropped to 5-5-1. The Bengals started off with an early loss and since then, they haven’t given up. Joe Burrow ending with 190 yards past, one interception and one touchdown, while teammates Joe Mixon run for 165 yards and a couple of touches.

CBS Sports’ Bryan DeArdo analyze why the Bengals won and why the Steelers lost. Let’s focus on Cincy:

  • DeArdo: “The Bengals’ defense, with their leading role throughout the competition, quickly made Pittsburgh’s attack one-sided… Cincinnati’s defense also had two first-half intercepts by Roethlisberger leading to 10. point. Trey Hendrickson’s Roethlisberger’s third-quarter tracing mandate is set Evan McPherson the second goal of the contest. “

Sunday’s match not only further proved that Bengalis are legit, but it raises even more questions about the Steelers and their future. Once the division’s favorite, the Steelers now sit in last place.

The Bengali scored an A+ for the day, while the Steelman scored an F. Check out the rest of our NFL scores from Sunday right here.

Honorable mention:

Marcus Semien, Kevin Gausman get paid; Max Scherzer to Mets? đź’°

There may be an upcoming MLB lockout (more on that in a minute), but the players are still under contract. On Sunday, yes some serious movement in the free agency market.

NS Rangers struggled last season with a dismal 60-102 record, one of the worst signings in the league, and both of those signings show just how aggressive they can be next year.

While those were big signings from yesterday, it wasn’t even the biggest MLB news of the weekend. That honor goes to the Mets and Max Scherzer. As of last night, Mets are said to be “close to finalizing a deal” with Scherzer. The group’s offer is said to be a multi-year agreement with “about” $40 million per year.

As of Monday morning, there’s nothing new to report on Scherzer on the Mets front, but you can still freely imagine a 1-2 punch by Jacob deGrom and Scherzer in the same spin.

College football recap: Jim Harbaugh finally made it

A LOT has happened since this weekend of college football, and I mean much.

Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh can finally add “beat Ohio State” on your resume. His werewolves beat Buckeyes, 42-27, on Saturday. With victory, werewolves are expected to take 2nd place in College Soccer League from the State of Ohio. In the latest AP Top 25 poll, Michigan did the same and replaced Ohio State at number 2. Georgia is still expected to be at number 1.

Before we have the next official College Football Qualifier standings, here is a look at the new projected top 4, thanks to the support of Jerry Palms, along with scores from the respective Saturdays as assigned by our expert Barrett Sallee:

  • Number 1: Georgia, A
  • Number 2: Michigan, A +
  • Number 3: Cincinnati, BUFF
  • Number 4: Oklahoma State, A

You’ll notice a common suspect, Alabama, is not on the list above. They simply didn’t play up to their standards of late. NS The top 25 votes have Alabama currently in 4th place and they earned a C+ for their Week 13 performance — One 24-22 Wild win against Auburn which took four to decide.

Of course, there are other games to look forward to besides the National Championship, so you can peak at Predictions for the Bowl game right here.

Answer the question about the ability to lock MLB

beautiful pictures

A lockdown that has been terrifying for a long time is scheduled to take place this week during Major League Baseball. Current collective bargaining agreement expires at 11:59 p.m. ET on December 1. If the owner locks the player, the locking will continue until a new CBA deal. It’s been a while since the last MLB layoff, which took place in 1994-1995 (I wasn’t even born yet!)

There are many questions about how door lock can affect free agent, seasons and deals. Because it’s been so long since a game, turn to our MLB expert RJ Anderson to answer some of those questions.

  • Can freelancers sign during lockdown?: Are not. Players will have to wait until a new CBA is approved to sign a team (which helps explain the rush of signings we saw yesterday).
  • What about Seiya Suzuki?: Suzuki was the best player with Nippon Professional Baseball’s Hiroshima Toyo Carp club and a top free agent. Normally, teams would have 30 days after Suzuki was “posted” to reach an agreement or he would stay in Japan, but it is likely that his window will be put on hold until the course is over. end … if that happens.
  • Can teams make trades?: Teams that can swap prospects and minor leagues will not be affected as their players are not members of the MLB Players Association.
  • How long will the lockout period last?: If only we could predict the future, we could give a confident answer. While we can’t do that, we can at least say that insiders who spoke to CBS Sports said it would take months.
