Benedict Cumberbatch Explains Why The Doctor Strange 2 Reboot Is Necessary

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is in the middle of a restart, and when fans hear “reboot,” their minds will turn to the worst-case scenario. However, Benedict Cumberbatch reminded fans that the return could be better.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will apparently address the “multiverse,” a concept common in both Marvel and DC comics. The idea entailed having alternate versions of many characters from their own universe. This concept plays a major part in upcoming movie Spider-Man: There’s no way home, where fans can see Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock and several other villains return for the first time since they appeared in the previous Sony Spiderman film.
Some reports about Doctor Strange 2reboots hinted that they would significantly retool the story, while others pointed out that they were just for sales or additional photography with actors who were previously unavailable. Regardless of what actually comes from the reshoots, Cumberbatch says the reshoots are intended to enhance the film rather than take anything away from it. Speaking to Empire Magazine, Cumberbatch said, “We’re working incredibly hard to stay on schedule to bring out the full potential of the film – things we want to do better, but there are also things we want to do better. couldn’t make it on the same day because of logistics, COVID, etc.” In fact, it seems the COVID restrictions and limitations during the first shooting period were the main reason why Doctor Strange 2 need restart. Speaking about the pandemic, Cumberbatch said, “We were very late in production, because of that. Fortunately, not in production too much. Although things were just a little bit slower. “
Dealing with the multiverse certainly requires a coordinated schedule between multiple talents and ensuring the VFX team has enough time to get their work done. Movies of this caliber have a lot of weight on their shoulders, especially movies with a budget like Doctor Strange 2. If the reports of the story are true, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be making major changes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) which may or may not include the introduction of many long-awaited fan characters, such as X-Men.
The pandemic has certainly affected many things, including the film industry (in many ways), and it seems everyone is making up for lost time. Movies are on schedule again, more movies are released, and more projects are continuing or starting production.
Hopefully, when Doctor Strange 2 finally released, Marvel can deliver an incredible project that everyone can enjoy. Marvel fans have enjoyed Disney Plus series like Hawk Eye as well as the Phase 4 movies. Hope, Doctor Strange 2 continues the trend for highly successful movie franchises.
