Ben Crump to Pitch Van Jones on Law Center After Bezos’ $100M Gift
Ben Crump indicates a huge amount of cash Jeff Bezos just gave Van Jones could go a long way for a reason they both care deeply about – helping Blacks study law.
The civil rights attorney told TMZ… he plans to talk to his good friend Van about using some of Bezos’ $100 million in donations to help partially fund the cause. work that Ben had done for a while… namely a law base shop in Florida.
It’s called the Ben Crump Social Justice Law Center – located in St. Thomas in Miami Gardens – and the purpose is to give needy and underprivileged African-Americans the opportunity to study to become a lawyer.
We say this initiative is specifically targeting first-generation Black college and law students.

The startup is a work in progress, as Ben says it’s been accepting donations for a while, but he adds that Van’s support could help propel the work being done.
During Bezos’ Courage and Justice award acceptance speech, Van alluded to ensuring $100 million would be given to grassroots activists.
It looks like Ben’s project might be right up his alley… as Crump has been working tirelessly, for over a year now, with grassroots activist groups around the country.
