Ben Affleck

Ben Affleck widely praised as an expert at playing complex characters, as evidenced by his performance in the mind-bending thriller Lost Girl. The actor’s fans will be excited to know that they won’t have to wait much longer to see the actor grace the big screen again.

It was recently announced that Affleck’s latest film, Deep water, will hit theaters on January 13, 2022.

Deep water Following the seemingly happy couple of Vic (Affleck) and Melinda (Ana de Armas), the marriage is held together by a precarious agreement where Melinda is allowed to have sex with any man she chooses. he wants. However, Vic becomes the prime suspect when Melinda’s lovers begin to go missing.

Alongside Affleck and de Armas, the film boasts an all-star cast that includes Jacob Elordi (Kissing booth, Happiness), Tracy Letts (Little woman), and Lil Rey Hower (Get out). The film also marks director Adrian Lyne’s return to the big screen, as the last film he directed was a romantic thriller. Unfaithful in 2002, this also happens to have a similar premise as Deep water.

Deep water based on the 1957 novel of the same name by author Patricia Highsmith, but this is not her first work to be adapted for the screen. Her novels The talented Mr. Ripley was made into a movie in 1999 and stars Matt Damon, Jude Law, and Cate Blanchett. With a resounding success at the box office, grossing over $128 million worldwide, it’s no surprise that another of her novels got the green light.

The chemistry between Affleck and de Armas is definitely good, as they dated throughout the production of the film. Then again, the release Deep water could make for an awkward reunion, as it was announced the couple had split earlier this year. It will be interesting to see if they can keep things light while potentially promoting the movie, but one thing’s for sure we’re excited to see the movie.
