Battlefield 2042 XP may return to portal mode soon

Following the XP Farm crash during the launch of Battlefield 2042, a Ripple Effect developer revealed that XP progress could soon return to Portal.
After the November release, the launch of Battlefield 2042 was a disturbance at best. Although the series has been known for its difficulties at launch, Battlefield 2042 possibly the most divisive due to the amount of bugs, both in terms of quirky visuals and game breaking, with bigger gameplay changes like the new focus Expert instead of more traditional Battlefield classes of Medic, Assault, Recon and Engineer.
While DICE has been making rapid changes through three Battlefield 2042 update, there are still some issues with the game and continue to disappoint the community. One such problem is with Battlefield Portal, which many agree is the main bright spot of the game as it not only brings back old content but also allows players to create custom games and rule sets. their own. Unfortunately, the early days of launch saw an increase in XP farming, boosting DICE to prevent this behavior by disabling XP gain completely while playing that mode.

While DICE has yet to officially comment, fans may have gotten a hint thanks to Justin Wiebe, Senior Design Director at Ripple Effect Studios. While Wiebe isn’t committed to hard dating, he did confirm that a meeting was recently held regarding the matter and that if all goes well, the meeting could return to before kick-off. next weekend.
He then went on to address a few more Gate-related questions, confirming that weapons and mastery are still locked to the Portal-only Highlight Experience for the time being. Part of the struggle the team seems to be grappling with is finding a balance to allow progress, but prevent players from finding ways to exploit and sabotage the system. Also, while the team is prioritizing fixing major bugs, they also understand the need for new content because Battlefield 2042 is a live service game. Finding that balance there remains a priority for Ripple Effect as well.
In addition to the return of XP Progression inside Portal, DICE continues to make necessary adjustments to the core of the game. Battlefield 2042.
