Battlefield 2042 will have a new map and possibly a Santa skin

In a recent interview with GameSpot, EA has revealed that Battlefield 2042 will get a new map called Exposure, coming out next year.

While very little is known about this map so far, according to EA it will take “map design to a whole new level”, which hopefully means it’s more than just wings. a barren field with a few buildings scattered around as a target.

EA has yet to announce when we will embark on this new map, but it is expected to arrive at some point in the future. Battlefield 2042is the first season of content, which will begin next year. Included in this first piece of content will also be a new specialist, weapons, gadgets and vehicles.

While it’s reassuring to see what Battlefield 2042 will get more than bare minimum content during its seasons, it’s still a shame it came out in such a lackluster state, with what could end up being much of the content added after the fact.

While it doesn’t look pretty, the content may not be quite dry for this year’s Battlefield 2042, as a recent leak has pointed out. a range of holiday themed cosmetics items added to the game as pre-season rewards.

Immediately fans voiced their concerns about the colorful design that didn’t exactly match a futuristic shooter trying to take itself seriously. Thankfully for those afflicted by cosmetics, DICE has since spoken out in a long Twitter thread, saying “while we have the skins, we don’t currently plan to use all of them this Holiday.”

DICE went on to explain that they will be creating “unique cosmetics for single-use in Battlefield Portal special modes to further enhance the magic of special events”, so here we go. will probably see some exotic cosmetics, though thankfully for a limited time in the future.
