Battlefield 2042 Update 0.3.1 Patch Notes Today (December 9)

A new brand Battlefield 2042 The update will begin rolling out today (December 9) to all supported platforms and aims to fix some of the issues the game has had since launch.

Battlefield 2042 Update #3.1 Release time

New of today Battlefield 2042 Updates will go live at 12 a.m. PT / 3 a.m. ET / 8 a.m. GMT. Unlike previous updates, there is no downtime for patch 0.3.1 according to official Battlefield Twitter Communication account.

Bug fixes, changes and improvements


  • Players who are not Team Leaders can now cancel while waiting in line
  • Xbox – Cross-Play can now be enabled/disabled in the Options menu on Xbox
  • Your Sort settings will now be remembered correctly when you refresh Battlefield: Portal Server Browser
  • Fixed an issue where loadouts would sometimes go blank on the screen that appeared after joining a server, preventing weapon selection
  • Improvements have been made to ensure Aim Assist is more consistent during console gameplay
  • Ranger’s effective combat range and overall health have been reduced


  • Make various tweaks to the overall audio experience to improve clarity, distance, and directional perception
  • Fixed an issue where soldiers wouldn’t always play specific footsteps inside the house


  • Removed bounce from Underbarrel Grenades when fired at short range
  • 40mm AP Grenades now properly damage vehicles
  • Fixed some weapons displaying incorrect ammo counts for specific magazines
  • Bolt Action DXR-1 and NTW-50 rifle reload animation increased by 0.2 seconds
  • Dispersion values ​​are adjusted for most weapons, resulting in a faster drop in dispersion when touching fire or making short bursts
  • Increased dispersion adjusted for most weapons. Now it will take a little longer for the weapon to become too inaccurate when fired continuously
  • Adjusted recoil values ​​to avoid excessive recoil for AK24, LCMG, PKP-BP, SFAR-M GL and PP-29
  • Improved hip fire accuracy for all SMGs to make them stand out from other auto weapon prototypes
  • Reduces dispersion and recoil of LMGs to improve performance on continuous fire
  • Additional improvements to recoil control for all weapons, more specifically automatic weapons.
  • Increased MCS-880 close range damage and consistency when using Buckshot Shell or Flechette Shells
  • Fixed a bug that caused projectiles to hit below the player’s target for SFAR-M GL and K30


  • Fixed a bug where vehicle weapons would sometimes not deal explosive damage when hit directly
  • We are reducing the effectiveness of the 30mm Cannon on Ground Vehicles compared to infantry. It now heats up faster, slightly reduces fire rate and explosion damage, and increases drop damage at long distances

    • Dispersion removed
    • Ammo 12 -> 8
    • Impact Damage 85 -> 75
    • Explosion Damage 70 -> 35


Frag Grenade

  • Frag Grenade detonation time increased from 1.1 seconds -> 1.4 seconds after first bouncing on strong impact
  • Increases Fragmentation Grenade’s damage in game modes to deal 120 damage and ensure even armored players kill
  • Reduced the maximum ammo account of Grenades & Ammo from 2 -> 1

Prox sensor

  • Reduce spot radius from 30m -> 20m
  • Reduce operation time from 30 seconds -> 14 seconds
  • Reduced the number of Prox Sensors that a player can carry and deploy from 2 -> 1

Dangerous area battlefield

  • Fixed an issue that caused the Occupy LATV4 Recon to roam at the wrong time or not appear at all


  • Kaleidoscope – Rooftop Capture Objective has been removed. There are now two Shooting Targets at the bottom in the big BT and one at the bottom in the small BT
  • Orbital – Rooftop Capture Objective has been removed. There is now a single Shooting Target at the bottom in large BT and small BT
  • Hourglass – Rooftop Shooting objective has been removed. There is now a single Shooting Target at the bottom in large BT and small BT. Also fixed an issue where players spawn out of bounds


  • Improved back kicking on objects while lying on the stomach
  • Fixed a rare issue where players could become invisible when spawning on a destroyed/full vehicle
