Battlefield 2042 4.0 Update Patch Notes Today Reveal In-Game Voice Chat

As promised to EA community manager Kevin Johnson a few days ago, Battlefield 2042 Update 4.0 has been released with over 400 bug fixes, improvements, and quality of life changes. Most importantly, it brings in-game voice chat for parties and teams, as well as some balance tweaks for pros.

It made some updates after the launch of Battlefield 2042 in early October 2021, but this patch finally adds the much-requested VoIP functionality. With the in-game voice chat feature unavailable from the start, players had to use other programs like Discord to communicate with their teammates.

In addition to adding Scoreboards at the end of the round and some changes to weapon attachments that set them apart from each other, the pros have been making some balance adjustments. Electrical engineer Navin Rao and scouting specialist Paik have reworked some of their Features.
