Banjo-Kazooie will join Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack on January 20

On January 20th, Nintendo Switch users had another classic game available to play through the virtual console, and it’s the title that fans have been eagerly waiting for.

Nintendo announced today the iconic 3D platform Banjo-Kazooie will be available to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers to play in just a few days. Banjo-Kazooie first released for the Nintendo 64 in 1998, and in the years since, it has established itself as one of the most popular games for the console. Fans can once again experience this in the original visual style but with the added power of the Nintendo Switch console.

To get access to this game on January 20th, you’ll need a membership to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. This will cost slightly more than a regular NSO subscription but provides access to the Nintendo 64 and SEGA Genesis virtual consoles and game library.

The Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack launched with a library of games for its N64 service, but since then it’s picked up even more. Before Banjo-Kazooie, one of the newest additions is another popular game from the 1990s, Paper Mario.
