Bake Off: The Professionals 2022: release date, participants and new presenter

Bake Off: The Professionals Season 5 starts Tuesday 24th May on Channel 4.

Here’s everything you need to know about Bake Off: The Professionals.

Similar to the amateur version of The Great British Bake Off, bakers are presented with a series of challenges to prove which of them is the best baker – the only difference being that, as you might have guessed, these competitors are all professional confectioners are.

Bakers from Manchester, Wiltshire, Cumbria, Birmingham and London compete to see who is the best baker.

In the first episode, three groups of participants compete against each other.

Rob and Mirea from Levens Kitchen who are pastry chefs at the historic Levens Hall in the Lake District.

partner Boglarka and Krisztian by Jó Szerencsét, a Gloucestershire patisserie.

Nathan and Kevin, both employees who previously baked professionally in France.

Benoit Blin and Cherish will be judging this series of Bake Off: The Professionals as they have done in years past. Blin is a pastry chef specializing in desserts, while Orten is an executive pastry chef, sometimes referred to as the grande dame of British pastry.

Liam Charles is a former Bake Off competitor, a fan favorite from the first Channel 4 series. Since entering the competition that year, he has been the presenter of Bake Off: The Professionals since it began on Channel 4 and served as a judge on the Junior Bake Off series.

Stacey Solomon replaces Tom Allen as co-host. Solomon is a presenter and television personality who is a regular panellist and presenter on Loose Women. She also placed third in the series “X Factor” in 2009 and won the tenth season of “I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!” one year later.

In the first episode, the bakers are presented with a secret challenge: Without a recipe, they must make 36 individual strawberry cutters and a chocolate seriousness in three hours.

In their second task, the bakers are to transform a syrup tart into an incredible eye-catcher.

Bake Off: The Professionals begins Tuesday 24 May at 8pm on Channel 4, with new episodes airing weekly.

Given the start of previous GBBO series, it’s likely that the series will begin in late September.
