Baiken is the next DLC character of Guilty Gear Strive

It’s a beautiful day to be a Guilty Gear Strive fans, for a favorite is returning triumphantly. Baiken will Guilty Gear StriveHer next DLC character, and she’s getting the Arc System Works favor all the way. She is one of the standout characters of the franchise, frequently appearing in other games like Samurai Shodown, and Arc System Works responded in turn.

Her special trailer introduces a new stage that will debut with Baiken, adorned with beautiful sunsets and autumn leaves. But in a grim twist of fate, the trailer failed to show off any of her gameplay. While previous trailers for the other DLC characters gave us a glimpse of how they’ll play, Baiken is getting the all-too-great minimalist treatment for school. She just shows up, looks neat, then bounces. I guess that’s pretty exaggerated.

One-eyed warrior

Baiken was revealed during CEO 2021, one of the first major fighting game tournaments to be held offline since the start of the pandemic. The crowd turned into a proper frenzy when Baiken was revealed in person, with hugs, tears, and other pathogens coalescing in the crowd. Oh, how I miss the offline events and everyone comes together to relax. This is the first time Baiken has appeared since Guilty Gear Xrd Rev.2 a few years ago, so it’s been a while since we’ve seen our favorite samurai in a mainstream Guilty Gear game.

For future characters, Baiken’s appearance can confirm the presence of another person, previously leaked DLC characters. Previously, the voices of Baiken and Slayer were revealed, along with Happy Chaos, Jack-O, Asuka, and Jam. With just one more slot left for Season 1’s DLC pass, the final character will likely be the fight between Asuka (That Man), Jam, and the Slayer. In the meantime, you can dust that controller off for Baiken’s spawn after she drops in. Guilty Gear Strive this January.
