According to Arizona Senate President Karen Fann, Maricopa County officials do not have passwords for the voting systems used in the 2020 presidential election.
Instead, a third-party contractor, Dominion Voting Systems, has all the passwords.
Fann revealed many of these things in an interview with The Western Journal on Thursday.
According to Fann, Maricopa County officials have repeatedly refused to provide the information and documents needed to proceed with the investigation. audit of the November election.
These include chain of custody documents, routers, and passwords.
Officials can keep the information in part because they “don’t have all the passwords,” Fann told The Western Journal.
“The only one with the password is Dominion,” she said.
“So Maricopa County doesn’t even have control over their own electoral system. Only Dominion has those passwords, and they have access 24 hours a day to those computers – come and go as you please.”
Should the Dominion voting system be trusted?
Yes: 0% (0 Votes)
No: 0% (0 Votes)
Fann made it clear that she didn’t accuse Dominate about “anything wrong” and “we have no reason to believe they did something” to change the election.
However, Fann said, this means Maricopa County “No control over their own electoral system.”
She also said that this “opens up the possibility” that the election could have been compromised.
Fann went on to note that the voting system’s password “hasn’t been changed in two years and many people are sharing the password”.
She said an elections official informed her that “it’s not unusual for someone to scream across the room and say, ‘Hey, Joe, what’s that password again?’ And he will scream back. “
“It’s not safe. It’s not safe,” Fann told The Western Journal.
Fann made it clear that the camera recorded “every time the ballot was touched” during the entire audit.
As a result, she said, auditors will be able to provide accurate and secure results.
