Awakening Matrix Playable Now on PS5 and Xbox Series X
Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 5 The Matrix Awakens experience officially launches for the next-gen PS5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
With Matrix Recovery movie is coming out, now is the right time to become a fan of the series. Before fans even got into theaters, however, another opportunity to enter the Matrix appeared in the form of an Unreal Engine 5 experience called Awakening Matrix.
Although not directly related to Matrix Recovery movie sequel, Awakening Matrix allows players to navigate through some familiar experiences from Matrix franchises, such as protagonists Neo and Trinity race through traffic to avoid attacks by Matrix agents, all while Neo shoots back with his own gun.
even though Awakening Matrix As a standalone experience, it doesn’t stop the movie’s stars from appearing. Appearing on stage at The Game Awards, Keanu Reeves (Neo) and Carrie Anne-Moss (Trinity) briefly discussed the demo, while footage appeared behind them on screen. Although it doesn’t quite create the same level of hype as when Keanu Reeves appeared at E3 Introduce Cyberpunk 2077 and his character, Johnny Silverhand, it creates excitement anyway.
Previously, Epic Games has Unreal Engine 5 revealed with demonstrations of what it can do, but not in such a way that players can get their hands on it and try it out for themselves, unless they happen to somehow get a home kit PS5 development. Although the demo surprised many people, Epic Games sought this opportunity to allow players to experience it for themselves. With Awakening Matrix, interested players can download the UE5 experience now for free on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S next-gen consoles. No word on the experience on the PC version.
The UE5 demo, which runs for only about ten minutes, seamlessly blends real-life footage with computer-generated footage. While Matrix has helped popularize many of today’s movie staples, such as the impressive slow-motion action sequences, it’s impressive to see how far the technology has evolved that a modern console can recreate some of these moments in real time.
Epic Games’ Unreal Engine has been behind a number of popular games in the years since its invention, this is just the latest release. More games are expected to use Unreal Engine 5 when they launch for the next-gen console in the coming years, like next Scary classes entry, offering impressive real-time graphics and gameplay for modern hardware. The developer has consistently created hype for the tool, even going so far as to include one of its demo characters. Fortnite, its flagship game.
