Using the XMPP standard, this plug-in can chat with other applications and platforms, including non-TAK products. Key features currently include:

Contact list

Point to point chat

Conference (group) Chat

Delivery receipt

Synchronize chats from the server

Chat from same user, different device

Conference chats are missed while offline

Chat status messages (e.g. “user is typing”)
