The swinging, swinging Christmas party, however, limited Dorrance Dance’s program to Friday, which had been refitted as an evening of four short pieces. The show came closer, titled “An Ella’quent Holiday Swing” – a reference, as you might have guessed, to Ella Fitzgerald – turned the Eisenhower Theater into the coolest nightlife spot in town, where audiences’ hearts could flutter to the vibrant beats on “Jingle Bells” and “Let It Snow! Let the snow fall! Let it snow!”
