Therefore, the games have much in common with Pokemon, another franchise that focuses on lovable animals living in a vast world filled with secrets. Now, a fan of both games has created a video showing what Pokemon Turtwig looks like as a villager. Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Turtwig is one of the three starter Pokemon players can choose from the beginning Diamond Pokemon, Pearl, and Platinumand it reappeared in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining pearls. TikTokker omuart posted a video showcasing how they transformed Turtwig’s design – though round and adorable, a lot like a turtle without a humanoid – into a two-legged, clothed design fit of a Mule villager. They started off by removing the rough shapes of a villager while keeping Turtwig’s official design on the side of the screen for reference. Before long, the drawing took on the distinctive shape of a Mule personality.

In the final design, Turtwig is shown kneeling to learn about a small sprout that resembles the one on its head. Its body is more elongated in shape, although like most villagers, its hands appear to be fingerless. The artist decided to draw inspiration from existing turtle villagers, known as kappa villagers in Japan, rather than from Animal Crossing: New Horizonreceive the turtle creature. Turtwig is shown wearing a white shirt, which appears to be a blue apron or a blue jacket, and a cover that looks like a backpack.

According to the article, it seems that fans have received this design enthusiastically. One user asked if omuart thinks it’s ok to ruin Animal Crossing: New Horizons for them, for their island would never feel complete without these Turtwig villagers. The second user asks the artist to turn this request into future art by drawing Mule characters like Pokemon. Several other users began to discuss the kind of personality, habits, and work Turtwig would have if implemented into a Mule game.
