ARK: Survival Evolved Introducing the Fjordur Creature and Community Vote Winner

After release Lost island With three new creatures and a bunch of new content, Studio Wildcard is currently focusing on 2022. ARK: Survival Evolved will get it Fjordur updated in June and also announced that another dinosaur, Carcharodontosaurus, will be released in late 2022 in a separate free update. The team also announced a second Community creature vote that will arrive in the June update.

Community input is always important to developers, and it’s no surprise that there is a community vote winner. This time, winning with over 9,000 votes, was Desmodus Draculae. Historically, this creature was a giant bat. So that’s the suggestion of what can we expect as the team shares concept art and records in the coming weeks. Coming in second is Carcharodontosaurus, so this makes its upcoming release also heavily influenced by community votes.

The giant bat will join Andrewsarchus and Fjordhawk in an upcoming update, and those creatures now have concept art and concepts to preview. Andrewsarchus is described as an opportunist with a short temper and full of surprises. They are also known to be quite fast. This will come in handy if you’re taming one as they’ll be great for moving in the water and you can even attach a shotgun to the back of its saddle and send it on a light scout.

The Fjordhawk is more or less what it sounds like. A bird of prey described as easygoing, it searches the land and tries to avoid danger while sometimes swooping in to catch its next meal. If you tame them, your hawks will be playful and loyal, and their observant nature can also help you get items. If you are killed, your hawk will fly away with your belongings and when you respawn, this bird will bring you back.

For more on these creatures and next week, towards ARK: Survival has evolved.
