Follow Prairie wolf, the team is in Arizona. The franchise feels the need to announce that because on Thursday a report from Forbes said that Coyotes are on sale.”with the idea of [a] the buyer eventually moved the team to a new arena in Houston. “

Here is the team’s response to the report, via Craig Moran of PHNX Sports:

“This is wrong. Totally false. We don’t sell. We don’t move. Coyotes is 100% committed to playing in Arizona.”

NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman also said the report was “completely untrue.”

While the team says they are planning to maintain the status, they will have to move to a new arena. In August, City of Glendale, Arizona. announced they were not entering into the lease, making Gila River Arena the home of Coyotes.

So even though owners Coyotes say they want to stay, the team is currently without a home ground for the 2022-23 season.

“We thank the NHL and the Arizona Coyotes for being part of the Glendale community over the past 18 years” Glendale City Manager Kevin Phelps said in a statement in August. “The decision not to renew the operating agreement with Coyotes was not taken overnight.
