Ari Lennox Tweets for the first time since her arrest in Amsterdam
R&B singer Ari Lennox tweeted for the first time since she Scary arrest in Amsterdam.
It’s been a few days since fans witnessed it Ari Lennox was raided by law enforcement in Amsterdam. Ari was tweeting the incident live and the last thing people heard from her was that she was being arrested. Today (December 2), she sent her fans an update that reads:
“Hey honey, I’m safe. Thank you so much for your prayers and love. ”
Ari’s manager, Justin LaMotte, announced that she was doing well a few hours after her last tweet. He say:
“Hey everyone, ari is safe and appreciates the support and everyone checking in on her.”
Ari first tweeted about the incident on Monday (November 29). According to her posts, she was racially profiled by security at a Dutch airport where she had just landed. She claimed that they arrested her because of the way she reacted to a woman’s racist behavior. She tweeted:
“F*** Amsterdam security. They hate black people.”
“I just want to go home. I’ll never leave my house again.”
“They’re arresting me.”
“I’m being arrested in Amsterdam for reacting to a woman talking about my race.”
She also snapped a photo of the woman in a now-deleted tweet:
“Racism. Wow Amsterdam, I’m appalled. I am so happy to travel and this cruel woman… I have never experienced such blatant racism.”
In a new development released by the Dutch military police, it is alleged that Ari was actually arrested for uncivilized and drunken behavior in public.
Ari and her manager has not made any other statement regarding the matter. It’s unclear if she’ll reveal any other information about it at this time, especially given that there are only three days left from the event.
