ArcheAge Opening Zodiac Festival, As Kakao Games Updates With 22,000 Mining Bans

There is a new update for ArcheAge launches today, brings Zodiac Festival and some adjustments to Exile conditions, along with bug fixes. Kakao Games also updated on the investigation and efforts to punish those who used a major exploit recently.

Follow on the last Banwave update, Kakao Games announced that they have now banned 21,638 alt accounts for using mining and 629 main accounts. Again, they have asked for some patience to complete the ongoing investigations into this matter. This comes as some players with locked accounts are wondering when they might get an idea of ​​whether they will ever get them back. However, all accounts that they have locked so far for further investigation will remain locked when they finish the job. For those who may be able to access their accounts, we warn against interacting with or using any object that could be derived from an exploit, as this can also trigger lock and add to the accounts to be investigated.

The new conditions for Exile have been relaxed slightly, in the form of a reduction in the minimum required equipment points, from 10,000 to 9,000, and no foreign language proficiency required. Capacity has been increased to a minimum of 30 people for Exile, with the ability increasing with faction level. Faction activity is also affected, with the condition that Exile is now adjusted to 25% of the difference between factions, down from 30%.

Another inclusion in the update looks set to join some other restrictions for beginner servers to make the game fairer. Only those with Ancestry level 30 or higher can access the archive on the new starter servers. The fixes in this update make it possible to complete some missions, and Staring Eyes’ teleport scrolls have accurate animations.

The Zodiac Festival will run from today until January 13 and transform the Sozreed Peninsula into a Peace Zone for the event. There are daily quests for each festival day, divided into several themes around the upcoming Chinese New Year and the 12 constellations. For completing these, you’ll get tradable festival coins for decorations, new gear like Duskglow Waistcoat Ensemble, charms, etc.
