Apex Legends players put an end to Wattson’s Heirloom
December 7th is a big day for Apex Legends fan. Not only does it kick off a new Raiders gathering event where Wattson-dedicated people can pick up her heirloom if they want, but the Winter Express returns for the “days”. Winter Express is arguably one of the best Apex Legends LTM, and many have been waiting for it since flipping the calendar.
However, there were some who were less excited about the event. Many players have complained about Apex Legends‘design for Wattson’s Heirloom, compare it to toy guns, price checkers, etc. Many of Wattson’s primary sources have been waiting for this for quite some time (Wattson is a part 2 character), and so it’s likely that many will still try to get it. , even if it’s not ideal. However, someone did something a bit unconventional with its revealed animation.
As seen below, Twitter user @mokeysniper has shared the official Wattson Heirloom animation, released by Respawn. However, they edited it to showcase ‘s gameplay Death on Wattson’s screen, jokingly asking if Wattson was playing Death. It’s a pretty unique thing and can only really be done on a Wattson heirloom; no other character has an Heirloom with any kind of display.
For those who haven’t started here, the joke is about it all strange things Death was made playable before. It’s actually made playable in games like Minecraft, Sonic Mania, Age of Empires 2, and more, while devices like pregnancy test strips, karaoke machines, thermostats and more. That was a common occurrence for the 1993 release, and it could well have been a pastime in the Doom community to make it playable on top of the wackiest out there.
Of course, unlike these, Death not really playable in Apex Legends, but it would be hilarious if it happened. Since Wattson is a defensive post, locking down a building or area is a typical lead strategy, but if at the wrong time or in a well defended area without a lot of traffic (meaning think of Kings Canyon’s Bunker, which a lot of people purposely avoid) , it would be fun to whip it out and play Death in a match of Apex Legends. Not the best when a team arrives, of course, but it’s hilarious nonetheless.
Apex Legends Currently available for PC, PS4, Switch and Xbox One.
