Apex Legends Emergence Update Launch Trailer Explains Seer Abilties

Seer, new legend is coming Apex Legends with the Arrivals update on August 3, 2021, is a tactical character with scan-based abilities. Along with the new character, Respawn Entertainment also added a new Rampage LMG weapon that uses heat grenades as ammunition, the long-awaited ranked arena mode, and some changes to existing maps. as well as new arena maps to enjoy.

Publisher Electronic Arts has revealed information about the upcoming update in EA Play live stream. The new lore was revealed earlier in a Story from Outlands teaser trailer, where Respawn gave a glimpse into the mysterious character’s background. However, not many details have been shared about the legend’s abilities beyond his iconic moth-themed microdrones.

Thanks to an interview with the developers from Respawn, we now know that Obi, a.k.a. “Seer,” will be a Tracker-type legend who boasts a scanning ability that allows him and his co. team monitors the opponent’s heart rate, similar to Bloodhound’s passive. Here is a list of Seer’s confirmed tactical, passive, and ultimate abilities:

• Passive: Seer will be able to see “hints” of enemy locations while aiming down sights
• Tactic: Send microdrones to view and continuously track enemy locations
• Ultimate: Creates a drone sphere that will track the movement of enemies inside

In addition, the studio also announced that the new Rampage LMG will use thermite grenades to some extent, possibly similar to how the Sentinel sniper rifle uses shield tiles to increase damage. Throughout the trailer, you can also see the completely changed World’s Edge map with more lava and a strange smoke-scattered tower. Specifically, the map now includes what looks like moving gondolas.

Finally, Respawn has also confirmed that ranked arenas are coming Apex Legends in the next update. Similar to Battle Royale, the new game mode will place players in similarly ranked matches using both MMR and ranked level. However, unlike the BR mode, players can drop their ranks if they lose enough matches, but will still receive rewards based on the highest ranking achieved during the season. Three new maps are also coming to Arenas: “Hillside” from Kings Canyon, “Dome” from World’s Edge, and “Oasis” from Olympus.
