Anthony Davis says all Lakers had to do to change the story was go on a 10-game winning streak

NS Los Angeles Lakers‘a rough start to the season hit a new low on Friday night, as they lost in extra time three times before Sacramento Kings after taking the lead by 13 points in the fourth quarter. With the defeat, they fell below 0.5 points at 10-11, putting them in seventh place in the Western Conference.
Unsurprisingly, the post-match vibes were awful. Social media is abuzz with questions about Frank Vogel’s future as head coach, and Lakers legend James Worthy is down on the post-game show. “I just want to go home,” Worthy to say, “It’s not team basketball. It’s not a winning formula.”
The good news for Lakers fans is Anthony Davis There are solutions to the Lakers’ problems. You see, all they had to do was continue their 10-game winning streak. Via ESPN:
“You know, 10-11, I mean, we could go on a 10-game, 12-win streak, now the story is different,” Davis said. “You know, 10-game winning streak, we’re 20-11. Now we’re going to shut everyone down. But that’s up to us. We’re going to have to do it. It’s not just easy.”
Davis was right to have a double-digit winning streak will change the narrative. It’s ridiculous to say that when you’ve only won 10 games all season and only lost in extra time three games to a Kings team that fired their coach a few days ago because they were too messed up.
Anytime you have to come up with unrealistic scenarios in your head, you know things are not going well. And things are not going well for the Lakers. This is their fourth loss in the last six, they are 22nd in attack, 20th in defense and have a real-3.2 – worse than teams like Spurs, Timberwolves and Pacers. A team that is poised for a long winning streak will not take a double-digit lead at home in the fourth quarter.

Also, in case you were wondering about the possibility of a double-digit win, the Lakers have done it 29 times in franchise history, going back to 1947. However, most of them. both predated the modern era, and they’ve only won at least 10 straight games in the past decade. It was in November 2019 – the season in which they won the title.
