Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire go to the cinema together to watch Spider Man: No Way Home

Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire recently revealed that they snuck into a movie theater to premiere Spider-Man: No Way Home together.

The long-awaited debut of Spider-Man: There’s no way home had its big premiere again on December 13, 2021. The film’s A-listers, Tom Holland and Zendaya were of course in attendance along with many other well-known names. However, it’s hard to imagine what it must be like Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire night of the premiere, knowing they couldn’t attend because of the spoilers. Being tasked with keeping a secret that could be one of the biggest secrets in Marvel history is one thing, but having to keep it while everyone else can celebrate together, must be a tough one.

Luckily, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire were able to have a special little outing together to celebrate the big screen moment. The two stars may have ventured to attend the premiere, but it looks like they’ve been able to keep their secret for now.

Garfield recently expressed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, “I still can’t believe it happened. I snuck into a theater on opening night and just watched with a baseball cap and a mask. In fact, I was also with Tobey. Tobey and I snuck into a theater together and no one knew we were there. It’s just a really beautiful thing to share together. “

Garfield quickly started the project with little hesitation. In another interview, the actor revealed that there is a very specific aspect of the pitch that is sell him when he returns to the role. He saw something very special about having three very different versions of the same character together and learning from each other; namely partnering with a younger, less experienced Peter (Tom Holland) and an older and wiser one (Tobey Maguire).

This is why Maguire and Garfield had to have an even more intimate moment to be able to share the moment they witnessed all three Peters share the screen together. Because Especially Garfield, his return allowing his Spider-Man to get the solution he needed regarding his character’s ambiguous ending. He said, “I am very grateful. I’m really, really grateful that I ended up having some loose ends for the Peter I was playing. I love that character and I’m grateful that I got to work with these incredible actors, these incredible directors, and Marvel come together with Sony. For me it was joy and a sense of closure.”

Garfield went on to share that he wrote “I love you” at the end movie loan and Maguire. This proves that the relationship between the three actors is still as real as it is on screen. While Spider-Man’s appearances were previously kept under wraps for quite some time (with the exception of some unverified leaks), now it looks like the cat is out of the bag.
