Season 2 of Amazon’s Lord of the Rings series is filming in the UK, making it the first LOTR film to be produced outside of New Zealand.
It’s always great to get ahead of things when possible. Some people like to plan their week in advance, organize meals in the fridge, and budget everything perfectly so as not to overspend. Meanwhile, others may decide to film at their unbelievably expensive cost Lord of the Rings Drama in a completely different continent season 2. It’s great to make these small adjustments so that everything can go well and smoothly.
Amazon Prime Coming Soon Lord of the Rings series Recently had a busy small production. As things prepare to release the first installment late next year, it looks like they’ve decided to make some big changes going forward. Instead of filming in New Zealand as one might expect from a Lord of the Rings project, this whole thing will be moved to the UK for next season. But they not only decided to go through a large part of the globe, but also decided on specific filming locations.
Many reports that in the future, Amazon Lord of the Rings will shoot at Bray Film Studios and Bovingdon Airfield. Both studios are located on the west side of London, and they have been home to some pretty well-known pieces over the years. Based in Maidenhead, Bray Film Studios has notably been used to produce films such as Mamma Mia and Rocket Man. Meanwhile, Bovingdon Airport in Hertfordshire is home to seniors like Alliance justice and Fast and furious 6.
Perhaps the most important aspect of this big move is the fact that Amazon Prime’s range of products will be the first of its kind. Lord of the Rings franchise to distribute films outside of New Zealand. Since then Original by Peter Jackson Lord of the Rings trilogy of works, every movie from 2001 The fellowship of the ring until 2014 The Hobbits: The Battle of the Five Armies did most of the shooting in that lovely island nation. Presumably, this move was made for the convenience of the cast and crew involved, a good portion of them are from the UK.
It makes sense that they would make such a change, especially given the different production styles between film and television. It can be tough when so many people are constantly moving between their homes and New Zealand for a project where the final timeframe is still technically up to date. So moving closer to home for many of them is probably the smartest decision in the long run.
However, that would be painful for the country that relies heavily on its entire identity Lord of the Rings. Okay, that’s understandable with an addictive Howard Shore soundtrack. But it’s almost like witnessing a couple break up after so many years together, even if people think they were destined to be together forever. True, the end result could be just as interesting, if fundamentally less morbid.
Amazon’s Lord of the Rings is currently preparing to premiere its first season in September 2022, with episodes releasing weekly.
