Amazon Lord of the Rings show gets 2022 premiere date, first image

Amazon’s original Lord of the Rings series premieres Sept. 2, 2022, Amazon Studios introduced on Monday. The corporate mentioned filming of the primary season simply wrapped up in New Zealand.

The Hollywood Reporter, in April, reported that the first season of the show will cost $465 million to provide, on high of the $250 million the corporate spent on the rights to the franchise. That will make this the most expensive television production, ever, by a large margin.
