Marvel Studios’ first trailer for Moonlight Knight burn the internet. The Disney Plus show will delve into the history of Marvel’s horror comics, with Oscar Isaac’s character a million miles away from the confident, squarish traditional superhero image. With the show coming up on March 30, the promotional campaign quickly kicked off following the big announcement, with merchandise coming soon.

One of the more interesting things this t-shirt design showcases Moon Knight’s Ancient Egyptians connect and give us a great look at his outfit. Check it out:

The ‘wrapped in ice’ look is clearly reminiscent of an Egyptian mummy and the pointed hood is inspired by Assassins Creed series of video games, but most of all, he looks scary and very scary. He’s a huge departure for a Marvel Studios hero and the visuals underscore how Moonlight Knight will differentiate itself from regular MCU fare.

The presence of A-lister Oscar Isaac in the role shows that the studio has big plans for the character and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him join Black Knight and Blade in future films, or even potentially soon Doctor Strange in Madness’s Multiverse.

We’ll learn more about the MCU’s take on Marc Spector in the run-up to release, but for now, I hope they’ve captured the off-beat and bizarre nature of the character that makes him so much more. “Marvel’s version of Batman”.

Here’s hoping the next few months will bring more pictures like this.
