Alec Baldwin Film ‘Rust’ Stunt Gun ‘Misfire’ Kills Crew Member, Wounds Another

A member of the crew for a Western film manufacturing starring Alec Baldwin died Thursday after a stunt gun misfired on set.

The 42-year-old lady, reported by TMZ to be the director of pictures, was airlifted from the set of Rust to the College of New Mexico Hospital, the place she succumbed to her accidents.

One other member of the crew, a 42-year-old man, stays in intensive care.

Deadline reviews the girl was hit within the abdomen, the person within the shoulder. The one that cocked the gun reportedly didn’t comprehend it contained dwell rounds.

A consultant for the movie advised Deadline, “There was an accident as we speak on the New Mexico set of Rust involving the misfire of a prop gun with blanks. Two crew members have been taken to the hospital and are receiving care. Manufacturing has been halted in the intervening time.”
