The AFC Champions League winners will join the following participants in the United Arab Emirates in early 2022 for the FIFA Club World Cup:

  • Palmeiras or Flamengo (CONMEBOL)
  • Al Ahly (CAF)
  • Monterrey (CONCACAF)
  • City of Auckland (Oceania)
  • Al Jazira (AFC, host)

Along with Al Ahly and Monterrey, the winners of Tuesday’s final will begin their Club World Cup campaign in the second round. For reference, Al Jazira and Auckland City will start a round earlier and Chelsea and the winners of the CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores (Palmeiras or Flamengo) will start a later round in the semi-finals.
