Pohang Steelers of South Korea and Saudi Arabia with Al Hilal, two of Asian football’s most successful clubs, will have a blow to history on Tuesday and you can watch the action on Supreme +. A place in the FIFA Club World Cup is at stake along with bragging rights about winning a fourth AFC Champions League title as the two sides vie for the final. Pohang will be at a disadvantage with the match being played on Saudi Arabian soil although it will not be played at Al Hilal’s home ground.
Al Hilal sports a squad anchored by Brazilian and former West Brom star Matheus Pereira and their residents lion striker Bafetimbi Gomis. The 36-year-old former Swansea City player has 77 goals in 98 games for Leonardo Jardim’s Saudi side. For Pohang, winning the AFC Champions League is a dream when you consider them closer to relegation than winning the K League this season. Evidently, in a final of such a nature, the team’s form is put to rest as both sides chase an unprecedented fourth Champions League trophy.
Below you’ll find some of the backstory, how you can watch the match, and more:
How to watch the AFC Champions League final

What to know
A place in the Club World Cup has been ranked for qualification based on your continental championship win. Bayern Munich hold the current title, but Chelsea will represent UEFA as last season’s Champions League winners. The AFC Champions League winners will join the following participants in the United Arab Emirates in early 2022 for the FIFA Club World Cup:
- Chelsea (UEFA)
- Palmeiras or Flamengo (CONMEBOL)
- Al Ahly (CAF)
- Monterrey (CONCACAF)
- City of Auckland (Oceania)
- Al Jazira (AFC, host)
Along with Al Ahly and Monterrey, the winners of Tuesday’s final will begin their Club World Cup campaign in the second round. For reference, Al Jazira and Auckland City will start a round earlier and Chelsea and the winners of the CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores (Palmeiras or Flamengo) will start a later round in the semi-finals. Details on the dates, fixtures and draw will likely be released by FIFA soon.
It’s hard to see Al Hilal being rejected here in Gomis form. Pick: Al Hilal 2, Pohang 1
