A tearful Adele announces residency postponement: I’m so embarrassed

Adele is letting her fans know about a significant change in her upcoming residence. The 33-year-old singer posted a video on social media announcing that she is postponing her Las Vegas residency. She became overwhelmed with emotion as she blamed COVID for why the show wouldn’t start as planned. She speaks,

“I’m so sorry, but my show isn’t ready yet. We’ve tried absolutely everything we can to pull it together just in time and good enough for you. But we were completely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID. ”

Adele’s stay is scheduled to begin Friday at Caesars Palace and run through July 2.

Caesars also released a statement stating,

“We understand the frustration surrounding the postponement of WEEKENDS WITH ADELE. Adele is an incredible artist, wholeheartedly dedicated to her music and her fans. Creating a performance of this caliber is incredibly complex. We fully support Adele and believe her performance at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace will be very special. ”
