What did Adele Roberts say about her colon cancer diagnosis?

Adele Roberts took to her official Instagram page on Monday June 27 to announce to fans that she has been told she is cancer free.

In the touching post, she thanked her doctor, whom she called Dr. Khan thanked her partner Kate Holderness, her family, her friends and her fans for all their support.

She also paid tribute to the people she met throughout her cancer treatment journey, calling them “warriors” and saying they inspired her.

Her full explanation is: “Angels on Earth. The day I’ve been waiting for. When I heard the words “You are cancer free” it absolutely took my breath away.

“I keep replaying it in my mind. It was the most beautiful sound I have ever heard. Although I prayed that Dr. Khan told me that, I didn’t think my head would let me believe it until I heard it.

“Everything we’ve been through seems to be spinning around in my body and life is feeling a bit surreal right now… BUT I AM SO GRATEFUL! I count my blessings.

“I’m also in awe of anyone involved with cancer. The courage, the strength, the determination… and sometimes the humor you displayed was nothing short of superhuman.

“You inspired me and gave me the fire to never give up. You are warriors and it is thanks to seeing you so strong that has kept me going. Feel the fear and do it anyway.

“Sometimes it took all my strength to get out of bed and face the day, but I made it anyway. Every day I made sure I did something to fucking make you cancer. It’s taken too many of us. I didn’t know what fate had in store for me, but I knew I would never stop trying.

“Thank you to my family, my friends, everyone who took the time to message me, send me love or positive thoughts. You kept me going and helped me kill this beast.

“That’s one thing that Dr. Khan said to me. When dealing with cancer, your thoughts can go to dark places, but that’s the only thing I was in control of.

“My body might have been dying – it still hurts so much now – but there was no way I was going to let it destroy my spirit.

“If anything, it’s made me happier than I’ve ever been. Walking through the darkness gave me the light.

“It changed me, gave me my little ostomy Audrey, brought amazing people into my life and now it’s time for me to really start really living.

“Thank you to Dr. Kahn, his team and the whole NHS. You are angels among us. Thank you for saving my life.

“Thanks to my Kate. The reason I had the strength to get up every morning. I will never leave you and I will always find you. In this life and in the next.

“A nice man I met named Terry recently told me:
