Adam Pinkusiewicz Named Suspect in Kylen Schulte and Crystal Beck’s Moab Murder

Utah authorities say they have identified a suspect in the murder of a couple camping in Moab — a fast-food worker who confided in someone he killed two women .

But police say there is no chance for Adam Pinkusiewicz to be brought to justice. After the double murder of Kylen Schulte and Crystal Beck, he left the state and committed suicide.

It’s a stunning turn of events in a case that has frustrated investigators since Schulte and Beck were found shot dead in August on a scenic road that runs through the national forest.

“Although Adam Pinkusiewicz has been identified as a suspect, this is an ongoing investigation and the case is not closed,” the Grand County Sheriff said in a statement Wednesday.

According to Schulte’s father, newlyweds Schulte, 24, and Beck, 38, went missing last summer after telling friends there was a “strange campsite near them”.

A desperate search for the couple leads to heartbreak when a family friend, acting on a hunch, finds their bodies.

For months, family and friends tried to hold the case’s attention, hoping a break would lead to the killer. They even summoned Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman to the area to investigate last weekend.

In its statement, the sheriff’s office said Pinkusiewicz, who used to work at a local McDonald’s, was identified as a person of interest early in the investigation – but he has since moved out of Utah. .

Police “recently received information that before committing suicide, Pinkusiewicz told another party he killed two women in Utah and provided specific details that only investigators know.” .

The sheriff has not released those details or any other aspect of the investigation beyond that forensic experts are currently investigating the suspect’s 2007 Yaris.

An amateur criminal by the name of Bullhorn Betty interviewed workers at Moab McDonald’s in November, and one of the employees named Pinkusiewicz was the man they suspected might be the killer.

They described him as a homeless ex-worker who got into a fight with another lesbian couple and it was “bad news”. They said he didn’t get his last check after the murder.
