Activist Shaun King daughter was injured in a terrible accident.

King Shaun took to Instagram to beg his followers to pray when he announced that his daughter had suffered a brain injury yesterday (December 5). Kendi King, 19 years old, was hit by a car on the streets of Manhattan, which resulted in her admission to the ICU. Along with the traumatic brain injury, she also suffered multiple injuries to the head and body. According to his post, the incident really took place the previous morning (December 4). His post reads:

“Our daughter Kendi, 19, was hit by a car while walking in Manhattan and suffered a traumatic brain injury. And some serious head and body injuries. I’ve been here in the ICU with her since yesterday morning. ”

He continued:

“We have every reason to believe that she will recover and that she is receiving excellent medical care. The doctors, nurses and staff were very kind and attentive.”

He added:

“Pray for Kendi. ? That she heals 100%.? That she doesn’t take a step back.? I’m looking at her like a hawk.? Please say a special prayer for my dear @MrsRaiKing who has been going through a very difficult time with this. ? Love and appreciate you all.? “

Just a few hours ago Kendi, who is attending New York University’s film school, has updated people on her condition via Instagram. Although the photo she posted shows the deep wounds, cuts and scrapes she received, she notes that she has no broken bones and is taking the circumstances into consideration.

“Got hit by a car and didn’t break a single bone (just like my papa @shaunkinNS ;). However, I have suffered brain injuries, concussions, dozens of stitches, scratches and cuts all over my body, and some memory loss. But I’m fine. The food here isn’t bad and the nurses are all from brooklyn so they’re great. Thanks to everyone who contacted – I saw your messages, I’m a bit too shocked to reply right now. “

Shaun and his wife, Rai, has yet to comment further on the crash.
