Across Worlds (Full Guide) – FandomSpot

Creating alternate characters in Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds allows you to play with any other class in the game alongside your main class.

It offers you benefits such as:

  • Increased inventory space
  • More Weapon Upgrade Stones
  • Increased agricultural efficiency
  • More Territe/Diamonds
  • Increased combat power

In this guide, I’ll show you how to create and switch between alternate characters, how to level them up efficiently, and also go into more detail about the benefits of having them.

How to create/switch alt characters

You can create characters in the character selection screen that appears every time you enter the game – as shown in the image below:

In order to switch between characters in the game, you must first access your menu by clicking on the icon with three bars in the upper right:

Main Screen> Menu / Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds”/><figcaption class=Main Screen > Menu

Then, with the menu displayed, click on the “Settings” icon at the bottom of your screen – it should look like a gear (see image below):

Menu> Settings / Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds”/><figcaption class=Menu > Settings

You will then be taken to your settings page – your game settings page to be precise.

Next, go to your account settings page by clicking on the “Account” icon at the bottom left of the settings page:

Game Settings> Account Settings / Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds”/><figcaption class=Game Settings > Account Settings

Finally, to switch characters, just click the “Select Character” button:

Account Settings> Select Character / Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds”/><figcaption class=Account Settings > Select Character

And you’re done!

You will then be taken straight back to your character selection screen where you can switch between your main and alternate characters accordingly.

How to level up alt characters

Main story quests

The Lost Fairy (Main Story Quest)

Alternate characters gain an EXP boost buff, allowing them to farm EXP much faster than your main character.

To activate this buff, make sure your alternate characters are at least ten levels lower than your main character.

At levels 1-33, you will find it relatively easier to level up by completing main story quests – particularly levels 1-20, which can be reached in an hour or less.

Fast solutions

Eventually, when you reach level 33, you’ll hit the “wall” where you can no longer reliably level up simply by completing main story quests.

Because of this, you need to save Fast solutions for your alt accounts and don’t use them for your main account until your alts have reached the desired level.

Swift Solutions give characters a lot of EXP upon completion.

In short, they’ll increase your alternate character’s leveling efficiency when used – not to mention the rewards you get from them are shared so your main character has access to them too!

AFK farming

AFK farming in the chaos field and on the world map is also another leveling method I would like to recommend for alternate characters.

Whether it’s in AI mode or through manual AFK farming, you’ll level up faster if you’re frequently AFK farming over your alt character.

This is due to the EXP boost your alternate characters naturally get when they are ten levels lower than your main character.

Benefits of alt characters

There are several perks you can get from creating and leveling up multiple alternate characters – making them more or less necessary for all players.

Advantage #1: Increased storage space

Inventory Expanded (Class Level Reward Description) / Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds

More inventory space is arguably the most important benefit of having multiple alternate characters – especially if you’re F2P.

This is very important because without spending money in the shop for inventory slots, your game quality will be severely limited.

The number of additional inventory slots that will be allocated to all your characters after upgrading an alternate character to a specific level is as follows:

level requirement Inventory slots added per character (common)
level 20 +25 slots/character
level 40 +25 slots/character

Benefit #2: More Weapon Upgrade Stones

Another great thing about leveling alt characters is that you can go through the main story quests from scratch.

This means you can re-farm rewards for completing quests – specifically the Weapon Upgrade Stones, which you can claim after completing certain quests.

Weapon Upgrade Stones are very valuable and an important resource if you want to increase your main character’s combat power.

Benefit #3: Increased Farming Efficiency

Alternate characters are mostly stronger than your main character at the same level.

This means your farming efficiency is higher with alternate characters – allowing you to kill mobs much faster.

This is why you should consider using alts when farming AFK. You can farm lower level mobs and get the same drops you can farm on your main account but much faster.

Advantage #4: More Territe/Diamonds

Territe (Item Description) / Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds
Territe (item description)

Territe and Diamonds are by far the most difficult currencies to acquire in Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds.

Luckily, you can get more of these either as quest completion rewards or as account bonus rewards by leveling up your alternate characters!

The amount of additional daily Territe Energy and Territe Energy Limit (not Territe) and Diamonds you get after leveling an alternate character to a certain level is as follows:

level requirement Daily Territe Energy & Territe Energy Limit increase per character (shared) Diamonds awarded per character (shared)
level 20 +200 Territe Energy Daily & 1,400 Territe Energy Limit none
level 40 +100 Territe Energy Daily & 700 Territe Energy Limit none
level 60 +100 Territe Energy Daily & 700 Territe Energy Limit 1,000 diamonds
level 80 +150 Daily Territe Energy & 1050 Territe Energy Cap 1,000 diamonds
level 100 +150 Daily Territe Energy & 1050 Territe Energy Cap 2,000 diamonds

Advantage #5: Increased fighting power

Grade 5 (Bonus Stats Increase) / Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds
Grade 5 (bonus stats increase)

You can farm a decent amount of combat power for your main character if you level up your alternate characters.

They either come as raw CP boosts, Special Ability boosts, or even from weapon chests that you get as class level rewards!

You can get the following CP boosts simply by leveling an alternate character to the following levels:

level requirement Instant CP Boost per Character (Shared)
level 20 1,620 combat power
level 40 3,886 combat power
level 60 6,480 combat power
level 80 12,960 combat power
level 100 22,680 combat power

While this isn’t the most important perk of an alternate character, it’s still a great bonus – especially when we consider how difficult it is to increase your main character’s CP in the late game.
