A teacher learned that one of her students might go hungry during winter break. She now raises thousands of children every year.

About 5,200 students took home bags filled with cereal, bread, peanut butter, pasta, granola bars, oatmeal, beans, mac ‘n’ cheese, canned chicken, fruit and vegetables for two weeks. Grocery items were ordered online this year at Costco and delivered to the gym at Lakewood Elementary.
