A Streets of Rage movie adaptation is coming

One Street inspiration According to a report from Deadline, the creator of the John Wick franchise is Derek Kolstad, according to a report from Deadline. Kolstad wrote the screenplay for the film. Sega Streets of Rage franchise sees long-awaited video game sequel in Street inspiration 4 in 2020, continuing the side-scrolling beat-’em-up sequence that started with Street inspiration in 1991. The first game was published on Sega’s Genesis console and focused on former cops battling a criminal organization. The series was on a decade-long break after Street of Rage 3 – apart from the re-releases – until Rage Street 4 launching in 2020 from Lizardcube, Guard Crush Games and Dotemu.

Production company dj2 Entertainment has a string of video game-inspired live-action adaptations in the works, including projects based on Disco Elysium, Strange La River lifeand It takes two. Sega has actively pursued adaptations of its latter category, with limited success beyond the Sonic the Hedgehog films. The publisher has previously announced live-action adaptations of classic Sega franchises such as Shinobi, Altered Beast, and the lesser-known Rent-A-Hero. (Kolstad’s film is the second Streets of Rage adaptation to be announced.)
