If you’re looking for a great comedy to start your week off, Netflix has you covered. Don’t look up features an all-star cast that includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Rob Morgan, Jonah Hill, Meryl Streep, Mark Rylance, Tyler Perry, Timothée Chalamet, Ron Perlman and Ariana Grande – just to name a few, and that’s it. The kind of movie you won’t soon forget.
Official summary for Don’t look up is as follows:
“Two junior astronomers must go on a massive media tour to warn humanity of an approaching comet that will destroy planet Earth.”
DiCaprio and Lawrence star as astronomers, and their journey resembles what many around the world have experienced over the past few years. Everything from climate change to global pandemics and a host of other global problems, it feels as if the world is about to collapse around us for a while.
As FlixPatrol note, the series is #1 in some countries on Netflix and with good reason. It’s the kind of disaster comedy that will make you laugh and also feel like the whole thing is linked in an almost uncomfortable way. We may not have a life-shattering asteroid headed our way, but we’ve all been living in crisis for the past two years, so – we get it.
Don’t look up Available now on Netflix, and if you have some downtime between now and the new year, you won’t want to miss it. It would also be a perfect movie to watch on New Year’s Eve with friends or loved ones to celebrate a stressful year-end.
