A live-streamed video comedy is finding new life in streaming

The Little Rascals Save The Day currently dominate the streaming platforms. The film is a direct-to-video sequel to the 1994 film.

Based on FlixPatrol, The Little Rascals Save The Day are the top ten movies on Netflix in Guatemala and Ireland. At the same time, audiences watched the series in the United States on Hulu a lot.

The comedy follows an old woman called Granny (Doris) as she runs a bakery. When Granny’s bakery had to close, little crooks banded together to help the elderly woman raise $10,000 in hopes of keeping her business afloat. The kids’ ideas included pet cleaning duties and taxi services. When those plans fail, their only hope is to win a cash prize from a local talent contest.

The film also stars Greg Germann, Lex Medlin, Valerie Azlynn, Jet Jurgensmeyer, Drew Justice, Jenna Ortega, Connor Beaty, Isaiah “Zay Zay” Fredericks, Camden Gray, Eden Wood, Grant Palmer, Chase Vacnin and Rio Mangini. The Little Rascals Save The Day also included a guest appearance from Bug Hall. Hall portrayed the character Alfalfa in the original film.

Hall, who appeared in a deleted scene as an ice cream vendor, spoke to the sequel’s Alfalfa character played by Drew Justice. In that particular scene, Hall tells Justice how much he reminds him of his younger self. When the film came out in 2014, critics stated The Little Rascals Save The Day miss the mark because of how beloved the original movie was.
