9-year-old girl targeted in attempted abduction: Regina police

Regina police are asking for the general public’s assist after the attempted abduction of a nine-year-old woman within the Uplands neighbourhood.

Police say on Friday, at roughly 12:40 p.m., a nine-year-old woman was strolling again to highschool close to twelfth Avenue North and Fairview Highway when she was approached from behind and grabbed by an unknown man.

The woman was capable of push away and run to highschool to report the incident. She was not injured. Police say there was a purple truck close by, working with the door open.

Police describe the suspect as white, 40 to 50 years outdated, roughly six toes tall with brown-grey medium-length hair and tattoos on each arms.

They are saying the person was carrying a tank high and soiled stained pants.

Faculties within the space had been notified and police presence has been elevated across the colleges.

Police are asking anybody with surveillance digicam footage within the Uplands neighborhood to overview it for something that will help within the investigation.
