88% of blacks in Maryland support police reimbursement

Far-left politicians and experts may want to bring down the police. However, the average Americans who have to deal with induced crime and anarchy do not.

Most recently, that has been shown in Maryland, where a poll found that 88% of Marylanders support the Republican governor’s plan to “recapitalize the police.”

What are these Washington Free Beacon, which had insider access to an internal poll that found support for police refinancing sky high, reported:

According to an internal poll obtained by the Washington Free Beacon, 88 percent of black voters support Maryland governor Larry Hogan’s (R.) effort to “recapitalize the police.”

[…]The poll, provided by an outside group affiliated with Hogan, found that 64 percent of likely black voters in the state “strongly support” the governor’s proposal to “provide funds significantly increased for state and local police agencies”, while 24% “partially support” the policy. Hogan’s initiative received similar support across races — 89 and 74 percent of white and Hispanic voters supported it, respectively.

So the governor’s plan is very popular with everyone in Maryland, despite the Democrats’ claims that his plan refinancing the police at $150 million is “divisive,” “misguided,” and politicizes public safety.

For example, the Washington Free Beacon reported that state speaker Adrienne Jones (D.) denied the governor’s very popular plan, saying:

“The governor’s false fallacies about ‘police refinancing’ are beneath him and the dignity of his office”

But while she and her colleagues may be against the bill for ideological reasons, those who count, the average Marylander, are united in support of reasonable police funding. Governor Hogan stated that “Enough is enough. We cannot offend the police. We need to pay the police.“It seems to be a view that his voters agree with.

That may be because Baltimore is currently lawless and residents are forced to bear the high crime rate and all the suffering suffered by the massive increase in crime that has taken place over the past few years. As Governor Hogan said, defending his plan:

“People get shot almost every day [in Baltimore] and we all have an obligation to do something about it now. I want those families and all the victims of this violence to know that we will not stop hunting down the criminals who are terrorizing our community.”

And, as ZeroHedge reports, this isn’t something unique to Maryland. Across the country, Americans support proper funding of the police and only a small number of leftists, often white elites, support calls to bring down the police. Here’s what ZeroHedge had to say:

The reclamation movement can be popular with some wealthy (white) elites, far-left activists. However, the majority of blacks are silent in protesting the police dismantling, according to a recent issue Harvard Center for American Political Studies and Harris Poll.

Above all, Americans want policemen, prosecutors, and judges to respect the law because the law is the law, making a society civil. Progressive cities try to break or subvert laws and policies that do more harm than good with an increase in violent crime.

This past summer, in Oakland, California, black families stood shoulder by shoulder with the police against Antifa’s “unpopular” chaos.

Ordinary people across America, regardless of their race, desire law and order, and with it prosperity.

The extreme left may want to bring down the police. However, the average American wants just the opposite. Even when angry about police abuse of power, they prefer safe and stable communities rather than communities plagued by high levels of crime.
