$5 Indie Bundle of 60+ Games Will Benefit Wildlife Charity

Players can get a bundle of over 60 indie games from itch.io for as little as $5, with all proceeds going to charity World Land Trust.
The gaming industry is not alone in aiming to give back to its community, as many gamers like to raise money and donate to various charities and support various causes. Examples include the word move towards preserving a game museum for more local change. Others want to take the money raised to support wildlife conservation and gamers can do it with World Land Trust Charity Group – a partnership between Plant Based Gaming, itch.io and independent publisher Future Friends Games.
Itch.io has provided indie game packs for charity events like this before. Last year, one itch.io Bundle makes over 7 million dollars raises money to both the NAACP Legal Defense & Education Fund and the Community Guarantee Fund, to support #blacklivesmatter and civil rights. This time around, this indie game bundle is backed by Plant Based Gaming, an organization focused on showcasing video games that focus on nature, conservation, and education. The efforts have resulted in over 60 games pooled together, starting at a fairly reasonable price point.
This pack is available through itch.io and can be purchased for $4.99 as the minimum price. As mentioned on the package’s page, all proceeds from the sale of this pack will go to the World Land Trust (WLT) Action Fund. WLT is an international conservation trust that works to save, protect and restore critically endangered wildlife habitats. The site adds that these efforts will be used to tackle ongoing climate change.
Games included in this itch.io pack include some gems are praised but not appreciated, such as Coffee Talk, Old man’s journey, Daniel Mullins’ hex, Hard to build a good snowman, and more. Over 60 games are included in the $450 total package, which baffles many indie gamers.
This itch.io charity pack will only be available for a limited time and will only be active for about a week. However, despite its short duration, the charity package surpassed its original goal of $10k, with over 4500 contributors having purchased the package. As of writing, this pack has raised nearly $30k, showing that gamers would be willing to contribute some money to a good cause like this.
World Land Trust Charity Group will be available on itch.io until December 10th.
