5 features we want to see in Minecraft update 1.19

Caves and Cliffs Part II has finally arrived and Of Minecraft The biggest update hasn’t let us down yet, but that doesn’t mean we can’t look to the future at the next 1.19 update!
In Minecraft Live 2021, update 1.19 was officially revealed as the ‘Wild Update’. Based on Agnes Larsson, Game Director at Minecraft, the 1.19 update means two things. The first is focused on nature, while the second is aimed at challenges and adventures.
That opens up endless possibilities for the next major Minecraft update, and while we’ve already previewed what’s to come, there’s still a long way to go until the update actually arrives.
So while we wait for the ‘Wild Update’, here are five changes we’d love to see included or expanded – in no particular order.

1. Other plants
With 1.19 so much focus on nature, now is the perfect time to completely overhaul the plants. Many different trees in Minecraft extremely basic and boring, although dark oak and woodland were included to spice things up a bit, we still felt that more could be done.
Why not add different thicknesses in the logs? or branches out of the tree? These are both things that have been achieved in mods, so it’s definitely a possibility. While we’re at it, let’s add plants that can actually grow and change over time! The possibilities are truly endless.
2. New, bigger biomes
One feature that is sure to appear in The Wild Update is the update/new biome. Mojang has confirmed that Mangrove Swamp will be one of the new biomes appearing in 1.19.
I’m not sure about you, but I generally avoid swamp biomes entirely when looking for somewhere to build a house. They look extremely bland and lack any character, so it would be fun to end up having a more atmospheric swamp filled with frogs and fireflies to get your creative juices off.
3. More structures and vaults
Another feature coming in 1.19 that we’ve all been waiting for is Deep Dark Dungeons and Warden Mobs.
Although many players enjoy the constructive and creative aspects of Minecraft, others love challenge, discovery and adventure. Currently, there aren’t enough structures and dungeons to explore. So we really hope that Dark Dungeons will add more challenges and rewards to conquering the Warden.
But it will also be interesting if you add some other structures on the surface, maybe the new Witch’s Hut in the Mangrove Swamp is a bit more difficult but offers bigger rewards.
4. New weather and seasons
Another way to increase the atmosphere in Minecraft, along with larger, denser biomes, are composed of new weather patterns or a system of possible seasons.
Instead of a snow biome, why not create a winter where the entire map is covered in snow, regardless of the type of biome. Autumn can include denser clouds with shades of sunsets around the world as leaves fall on the trees around you.
We don’t imagine this happening anytime soon, as it could change the core gameplay of Minecraft, but it’s a good thought.
5. New block
Finally a feature for sure with almost every update, new blocks! As mentioned before, some Minecraft Fans are all about building and creating, and new block types always help improve your build.
We know that there are many new blocks coming in update 1.19 such as Mud Block and Mangrove Wood, but we really hope that we will get more. Since ‘Wild Update’ has a core focus on nature, we wanted to get more flowers and nature-themed blocks to add to our builds.
