James Bond has plenty of villains he’s fought over the years. From Dr. No to Goldfinger to Blofeld, Bond has faced many cunning conspiracies. While these villains are often unique in their plots, much of what makes many of these villains so memorable is because of the actors who portrayed them. With a new generation of Bond now Daniel Craig finished his run in the suit, it’s time to look forward to actors who can make great villains for the British spy to confront.

James Bond has been fighting against villainous masterminds for over 70 years. Across the books and movies, the secret service has prevented coups, wars between nations, and planetary destruction. With each new villain comes a new, complicated storyline that James Bond was nearly unable to stop in time. While some villains are not defeated the first time, as was the case with Blofeld, they often meet their final end at the hands of Bond. The villains Bond confronts on his own often appear quite confident at first while then spiraling into madness as Bond gets closer to stopping them.

Her most recent outing was Lady Jessica in Sand dunes, showing off her great acting talent. Ferguson could easily portray a cold, calculating Bond villain while performing whatever stunts were needed for the part.

Idris Elba is a British actor with so many films in his background that people have most likely seen him in something. Gained recognition for her roles on film and television such as Stringer Bell in Wire and Heimdall in God of thunder, Idris has easily shown he has a talent for command requires the presence of a Bond villain. His role as the villain in Hobbs and Shaw shows he’s also more than capable of stunts, as the character is pretty much a Bond villain in and of his own.

While it may be a while until the world gets to see another Bond movie, any of these actors would make an excellent debut villain when trying to get through. Who could the new James Bond be?.
