4-Star Matrix Keanu Reeves Hilariously Discusses ‘Sad Keanu’ Meme

Matrix Recovery star Keanu Reeves has worked hard over the years to become one of Hollywood’s most glamorous and beloved actors, and possibly the world. Or maybe he didn’t do it, which makes his achievement all the more impressive. So it’s only natural that he’ll finally tackle a certain meme that has effectively dominated the Internet for the past few years. Remember the old internet? Now it would almost seem odd if it ever made sense.
Reeves recently appeared on a episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and as things tend to change on national television these days, the discussion eventually turns to meme topics. When Colbert turned the conversation to the page BRZRKR, Reeves’ new foray into the world of comics, the host took the opportunity to showcase the popular “Sad Keanu” meme from the early days of the Internet. A console from the comics that seems to resemble a classic image of a dejected-looking Reeves sitting on a couch, and Matrix 4 The star herself has had some interesting comebacks.
“I just ate a sandwich!” Reeves declared his objection when the photo appeared. “I was thinking, I have some work going on,” he said with a chuckle when Lord of the Rings super fan of Colbert asked if he was really “sad” in the famous picture. “I’m hungry,” Reeves said before he moved on to explain how the meme reference comic panel came about, in the way of artist Ron Garney. “I didn’t know he was going to do it, but that’s what he did,” Reeves said with a smile, “so I think it’s kind of a meta.” His comic counterpart is an immortal man who, in that particular panel, is taking a moment to reflect on his own plight. So it seems Garney sees it as an opportunity to reference a hilariously classic milestone in Reeves’ career.
Colbert then went on to ask Reeves why he thought he was so susceptible to memes about him. Of course, in classic modest Reeves fashion, he replied “I have no clue, sir.” When Colbert finally tried to understand the phenomenon, Reeves entertained the world with a prelude, singing “Meme on me, when you not strong, and I will be you your friend.” If that doesn’t show the general attraction of Matrix star, it’s hard to say what do.
Indeed, Reeves composed a song about his fans “meme-ing” him when they just needed a little help, even if it wasn’t his intention, to feel it was. exactly to say in his situation. This is a star that everyone has attached themselves to as an obvious force for good in Hollywood. So it makes sense that almost his entire existence could be considered useful by some.
Today, the memes have gone from a sad Keanu-like to just an overall vibe about “this man is a calming force in the world and must be protected at all costs.” Honestly, even if Reeves himself is too modest Directly admitting such things, it’s comforting to know that he has a sense of humor about it.
