It was every day that 343 Industries has begun to talk about concerns about Halo InfiniteBattle Pass’s. The battle for higher ranks was a struggle, and players were express disappointment in grinding. Introduced with the option to spend over 200 hours getting to rank 100 or spend cash to increase XP, didn’t make many people happy. 343 said it was reviewing the feedback and last night said changes to Halo Infinite The Battle Pass will begin this week.
It’s a quick change, but it’s hard to know what will affect the changes it will make. However, we have an idea of what it will look like. Put it on Twitter, John Junyszek, Halo community manager, wrote that “targeting adjustments” are coming. The first change out of the portal will be a new challenge: “Play 1 game”. Completing a single match will likely provide more XP, which Junyszek writes will “help ensure you’re always progressing through the Battle Pass by playing matches the way you want them to.” He also wrote about the additional changes coming.
“We will also tweak, fix, and remove some of the Weekly Challenges based on your feedback,” he wrote. “These difficulty adjustments will help you get through the Weekly Challenges faster and thus directly speed up your progress through the Battle Pass.”
Halo Infinite Battle Pass Changes: Challenge and increase XP
Junyszek continued in the Twitter thread, looking at what the changes would include. Once the update is rolled out this week, the game will reset all of your Challenges, “including your progress towards the Weekly Challenges.” But don’t worry about losing progress. As an apology for setting your Challenge to 0.343 will offer this week’s Ultimate Reward for free: Sigil Mark VII visor. To get it, all you need to do is play the game from 11/23 to 11/30.
There are also changes to the XP boost. In general, the double XP in Halo Infinite will last for 30 minutes, up to only covering a few matches (and possibly less with BTB). Instead, rallies will last one hour.
We will be closely monitoring these changes to ensure that they have the positive impact we all want on your progress,” continued Junyszek. “This is just our first step – we are committed to continuing to develop these systems, but it will take time. Thank you for joining our beta and keep sending feedback! ”
